英语学术论文汉译问题探析——以MTI的基础笔译课程教学实践为例

On Chinese-English Translation Problems of the English Academic Paper——Taking the Teaching Practice of Basic Translation of MTI as an Example

以MTI的基础笔译课程教学实践为例,探讨英语学术论文汉译中常见的三个问题:照搬原文抽象表达,译文晦涩难懂;误读句内语法关系,译文错误百出;忽视衔接手段差异,译文连贯性差。在此基础上,指出必须尊重英汉语言表达形式的巨大差异,才能有效解决上述问题。

Taking the teaching practice of Basic Translation of MTI as an example, this paper discusses the three common questions in Chinese-English translation of the English academic paper, namely, obscure translation caused by rigidly sticking to the abstract expression of the original texts ; wrong translated texts caused by misunderstanding of the grammatical relation within sentences; weak coherence caused by the differences in coherence methods. Therefore, we must respect the great difference between English and Chinese expression forms in order to effectively solve these problems.
