On Copper Mine Development in Ancient South Anhui and Its Social Influence

皖南地区是中国古代铜矿业开发最重要的地区之一,其铜矿开发的历史,上迄商周,下至唐宋,延续两千多年,对皖南及长江中下游地区古代经济社会的发展起到重要的促进作用,推动了中国青铜文明的发展。但铜矿采冶所引起的生态环境问题,亦为现代社会的矿冶生产提供借鉴。

South Anhui once was a most important base for copper mine development in ancient China. Copper mine exploration in this area spanned more than two thousand years, from Shang and Zhou Dynasties to Tang and Song Dynasties, and it acted as an impor-tant promoter to economic development in middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River in ancient times. On the one hand, it propelled the development of ancient Chinese civilization, on the other hand, ecological problems caused by copper mine exploration at that time can provide reference for today’s mining and metallurgy production.
