浅谈大学英语四级翻译题型改革及其对大学英语教学的启示

A Brief Discussion on the Reform of CET-4 Translation Test and Its Enlightenment to College English Teaching

2013年8月全国大学生英语四级考试委员会发布了名为《关于大学英语四级考试题型调整的说明》的文件,文件说明了大学英语四级考试新一轮的改革方向,其中变化最大的就是翻译题型,由原来的5个完成句子题变成了段落翻译,难度明显增大。本文归纳了翻译新题型的特点及要求,分析总结了笔者手上从事教学的160名学生的翻译文稿,归纳总结了学生在段落翻译中常见的错误,并在此基础上,提出对大学英语教学的几点建议。

In August 2013, the National College English Test Band Four Committee announced a document entitled＂Explana-tion on the Test Type Adjustment of College English Test Band Four＂which introduces the direction for the new round of CET-4 reform. The more prominent change is translation test, which has been changed from the former 5-sentence pattern to passage translation, making it more difficult significantly. This paper summarized the characteristics and requirements of the new type of translation test, analyzed the translation manuscripts of the writer＇s 160 students, generalized the students＇ common mistakes in passage translation, and based on this, proposed several sug-gestions for college English teaching.
