With the development of economic globalization,organizations of international trade prefer applied English professionals rather than those confined to commerce.This shift of employment requirement calls for a change in ESP teaching in higher vocational colleges.This article analyses the current ESP teaching in higher vocational colleges,discusses some experience in teaching and suggests some countermeasures.
