2014年9月1日,印度那烂陀大学在化为焦土800余年后,如众所周知的凤凰一样涅槃重生。该校位于印度比哈尔邦的历史名城王舍城。教学活动已在临时校园展开,它距该著名古老学府的遗址有12公里之遥。学校现开设生态环境研究学院及历史研究学院的课程。第一学期入学的15名学生中,在开学当天只有9人上了课。
More than 800 years after it was reduced to ashes, India＇s Nalanda University sprang back to life like the proverbial phoenix in the historic city of Rajgir in Bihar on September 1, 2014. Academic activities got underway at the new international university on a makeshift campus, about 12 km away from the ruins of the famous ancient university, with classes in the School of Ecology and Environmental Studies and the School of Historical Studies.
