Yu Weiping calls on the Accountancy Profession to Gather Strength for Financial Transparency and Sustainable Growth

余蔚平部长助理指出,财政透明度是政府良治、财政公平和经济稳定的一个重要条件。加强财政透明度,有利于依法行政、依法理财,规范政府行为,促进科学决策;有利于増强公众监督,防范财政风险,从源头上预防和治理腐败;有利于将政府的政策意图和激励方向告知社会,合理引导经济社会主体的预期和行为。会计是推动经济发展和社会进步的重要力量,在财政透明度建设中同样也是不可或缺的力量。为此,他提出三点倡议:第一,高度重视会计在财政透明度建设中的作用。第二,加快推逬政府会计标准的建设。第三,充分借重职业会计师的专业优势。

Mr. Yu Weiping, Assistant Minister of Finance puts forwards that financial transparency sets the groundwork for good governance, economic stability and fiscal fairness. Strengthening fiscal transparency is conducive to administration according to laws, fiscal management according to laws and regulation of government behavior. It will also help make scientific decisions, combat against financial risks, enhance public scrutiny to curb corruption at the root, inform the general public of government policies and incentives to lead expectations and behaviors of economic and social entities. Accounting has been the driving force for the strengthening of fiscal transparency.
