中西文化交流视野下的张謇

A Study on Zhang Jian from the Perspective of Cultural Exchanges

从中西文化交流视角考察张謇的西方观在西学东渐大潮下的形成过程、影响因素以及他在西方观指导下的文化交流实践。张謇个人的勤学好问、与西士的交往以及西学翻译高潮促使了其西方观的形成。从地方自治、慈善事业和国民外交三方面探索张謇创办的实业与西学之渊源。

From View＂ under the the perspective of cultural exchanges, this paper observes the form of Zhang Jian＇s ＂World tide of ＂Western Learning Spreading to the East＂. The paper analyzes the elements that influence Zhang＇s world view and his cultural exchange practices guided by this world view. This paper concludes that Zhang＇s eagerness to learn, the translation wave and the interaction with Westerners help him form his view on the West civilization. To practice his understanding of West civilization and to realize his glorious dream,Zhang did a lot of contributions to his hometown Nantong in three major areas：regional autonomy, charity and citizen diplomacy.
