The symphonic poem Tie Dao You Ji Dui took the historical facts as its content, designed the theme which was in accordance with the required image, and succeeded in transforming the theme into sonata-like structural phases through the variation technique in theme. This article aims to analyze the theme design techniques for the symphonic poem and how the composer expressed the images through the technique of one meta theme variation.
