In order to improve the value of knowledge, an attempt has been made in the teaching of the basic concepts about series of constant terms. It mainly includes the following contents： focusing on expounding the thought behind concept by using lead-in examples in real life; introducing the important conclusions in series and penetrating the idea and the process of mathematical modeling based on historical allusions and numerical computation; enabling students to comprehend points for attention in series calculation through the wrong solution analysis.
