我国勤工助学的历史大致经历了初始期、发展期、成型期和蓬勃发展期,勤工助学在不同时期有着各自的内涵和功能。我国勤工助学取得了不少成绩,但也面临着新问题和新挑战,勤工助学的深入开展是一项涉及政府、社会、学校、企业和其他相关部门的浩大的系统工程,只有相互配合、完善相关管理和法律法规制度,勤工助学才能更进一步向纵深发展,更加符合学生的需要。

Work - study program probably experiences four periods according to the historical sequenee, that is, the initial period with the foundation of People Republic of China, the development period in the 1970s and 1980s, the fixed period in the 1990s and the blooming period in the 21st eentury. The Work - study program has its own connotation and function. Nowadays, word- study program in our eountry has developed profoundly with much achievement as well as new problems and challenges. It is a huge and systematically project involving government, society, university, enterprise and other related departments. Only by cooperating mutually and eompleting administration and related laws and roles ean work - study aetivities progress profoundly and meet the sutdents＇ need.
