Wuthering Heights is a masterpiece of the 19 th century British writer Emily Bronte,which tells the story of love and revenge of the main character Heathcliff. In this paper,the author uses Freud＇s death instinct theory to analyze the psychology of Heathcliff,interpreting his whole psychological process from revenging to dying,revealing the real reason for his revenge,abusive,suicidal behavior – by death instinctive.
