摘要
"逆移"规则是通常时态使用所遵循的序列准则,但在新闻报道叙事中,为了突出新闻报道真实性、时效性和客观性的特定语用交际意图,报道者有时却有意违背"逆移"规则使用时态呼应不一致的变异序列。文章基于《纽约时报》和《每日快报》的180篇新闻报道真实语料探讨这一变异现象的使用类型特征、语境条件以及语篇体现的认知识解机制。
Backshifting is a sequence-of-tenses( SOT) rule in indirect reported speech. But in news narrative report,it is not necessarily the case for a certain communicative intention of reality,timeliness and objectivity. Based on the data of 180 news reporting articles from The New York Times and The Daily Express,this paper aims to explore the phenomenon of SOT variations that violate the backshifting rule,including the types of occurrence,contextual conditions and mechanism of construal.
