When the Anti Japanese War broke out, Gao Changhong put himself into the efforts to awaken the nati^nal awakening consciousness by writing clown nearly 100 pieces of comments and essays. In these articles, Gao not only focused on how and what to write about the watrime literature, but also put forward some thought-prow^king insights of problems related to dictatorship and democracy, etc under the state of war.
