The purpose of higher vocational colleges is to train frontline operations professionals with solid theoretical knowledge and strong technical capabilities. For the students of the welding major, the practical training of welding is the main way to improve the welding skills at higher vocational colleges. In this article, changing concepts, stimulating students＇ interest and motivation, perfecting welding training system and improving teachers＇ skill levels are discussed with the writer＇s practical experience, putting forward some of the strategies and methods on how to quickly improve students＇ welding skills by the practical training of welding.
