Current Situation and Internal Medical Rescue for Advanced Schistosomiasis in Renshou County

目的分析四川省仁寿县晚期血吸虫病(晚血)患者现状及内科救助情况,为完善晚血救助措施提供依据。方法收集仁寿县晚血患者体检、救助资料、相关评价指标等。结果 2013年仁寿县现存晚血患者99例,分布于12个乡镇、社区,其中男性59例,女性40例,中位数年龄62岁;巨脾型11例,腹水型85例,结肠增厚型1例,侏儒型2例。2010-2013年共对92例晚血患者进行了内科治疗救助,病情好转78例(84.8%)、无效14例(15.2%)、无痊愈及死亡病例。对2013年被救助的53例晚血患者进行问卷调查,对医疗机构及服务质量总体满意度96.2%;完全可以自我照顾的和完全可以进行日常活动的分别占77.4%和64.2%,有不同程度疼痛不适和焦虑沮丧的占83.0%和79.3%。结论仁寿县晚血患者的基本情况较差,对其进行医疗救助,可减轻患者心理和经济负担,延缓病情发展。

Objective To analyze the current situation and the internal medical rescue for advanced schistosomia- sis in Renshou county, so as to provide a basis for improving the rescue measures to advanced schistosomiasis. Methods The physical examination data, rescue materials and relating evaluation indexes of advanced schisto- somiasis patients were collected and analyzed. Results There are 99 advanced schistosomiasis patients in Ren- shou, distributed in 12 villages and towns and communities, including 59 male and 40 female, with a median of 62 years old. There were 11 megalosplenia type patients, 85 ascitic type, one thickened -colon type and two dwarf type. Internal medical rescue was carried out on 92 patients from 2010 to 2013, leading to 78 pa- tients with improved condition （84.8%）, 14 patients with no effect （ 15.2% ） , with no recovery and death patients. The overall satisfaction rate of medical establishments and service quality was 96.2% in the surveyed 53 patients. Patients with complete self - care ability and capability of daily activities accounted for 77.4% and 64.2%, respectively; those who felt pain and with anxiety accounted for 83.0% and 79.3%, respectively. Conclusion The basic situation of advanced schistosomiasis patients in Renshou county is not optimistic. Medical rescue can reduce their psychological and economical burden and delay the disease development.
