略论法律英语技能的课程建设——基于外语院校法学人才培养的视角

Course Development for Legal English Proficiency from the Perspective of the Law Talent Cultivation in Foreign Languages Institutes

外语院校具有完善科学的外语教学体系,在语言人才培养方面具有优势,外语院校法学人才培养应利用这种优势,并顺应我国入世以后对法律实务人才的需求,将培养模式确定为培养法学、外语"双精通"的应用型、涉外型法律人才。加强法律英语技能的培养是实现外语院校法学人才培养目标的重要环节,这需要明确涉外法律实务人才的法律英语技能构成,对法律英语课程与法学双语课程进行区别定位,科学设置培养涉外法律实务人才法律英语技能的相关课程。

With a well-developed teaching system of foreign language, the foreign language institutes are at an advantage of cultivating language talents. The foreign language institutes shall make full use of such an advantage to cultivate applied law talents with much of grasp of legal and English proficiency to meet the demand for foreign-related law talents after China＇s entry into WTO. It is of great importance to enhance the development of Legal English proficiency for the law talent cultivation in foreign languages institutes. It is necessary to make a clear position setting of Legal English courses and bilingual law courses and build further concerning courses for developing Legal English proficiency on basis of clarifying the key elements of Legal English skills.
