段玉裁《说文解字注》对＂皮＂字的注解存在错误。错在将＂剥取兽革者谓之皮＂中＂者＂看作转指标记。＂皮＂字的本义不是＂剥取兽革的人＂,而是＂剥取兽革＂这一动作行为。＂A（者）谓之B＂是《说文》的一种释义体例,A为谓词性成分时,可以发生自指,发生自指时多不后接＂者＂,但也可以后接＂者＂。＂剥取兽革者＂的＂者＂是自指标记。
When explaining the meaning of the word ＂Pi （皮）＂ , Duanyucai （段玉裁） made a mistake in his work Shuowenjiezizhu （《说文解字注》 ） .The mistake lying in the explanation of ＂Zhe （ 者 ）＂ in the sentence ＂Boqushougezheweizhipi （剥取兽革者谓之皮）＂ . Duanyucai （段玉裁） holds that the word ＂Zhe （者）＂ in this sentence is a transferred-designation marker. In fact, the original meaning of the word ＂Pi （ 皮 ）＂ is indicating the behavior of skinning the animals, rather than indicating the people who skins the animals. ＂A （Zhe） wei zhi B＂ （A （ 者 ） 之 B） is an explanation style ofShuowenjiezi （《说文解字注》） . When acting as an predicative component, ＂A＂ can reference itself. When referencing itself, ＂A＂ often uses its single form, but sometimes there has the word ＂Zhe （ 者 ）＂ after it. We believe that the word ＂Zhe （者）＂ in this sentence is a self-designation marker.
