Impact of the integrated psychological therapy on mental health status and change of conditions of patients with chronic eczema

Objective ： To explore the impact of the integrated psychological therapy on mental health status and change of conditions of patients with chronic eczema. Methods ：52 patients with chronic eczema were randomly divided into the intervention group （ n = 25 ） and the control group { n = 27 }. The integrated psychological therapy was adopted in the intervention group ; only telephone follow - up was conducted one time every 2 weeks and no psychological intervention was implemented in the control group. The scores of SAS and SDS and the as- sessment results of patientsj conditions were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results：There were statistically significant differences in the comparison of SAS and SDS scores between the two groups before treatment （ P 〈 0.01 ） ; the SAS and SDS scores of all the patients were positively correlated with severity of lesions （ EASI ） and severity of pruritus （ VAS ） （ P 〈 0.01 ） ; SAS, SDS, EASI and ~AS scores significantly decreased in the intervention group after treatment and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant （P 〈 0. 05 ,P 〈 0.01）. Conclusion：The integrated psychotherapy based on medication can effectively relieve the bad mood of patients and mitigate the symptoms of the disease so as to promote patient＇s rehabilitation.
