摘要
本文介绍了荣获第二届"中国科普作家协会优秀科普作品奖"的引进版图书《视觉之旅:神奇的化学元素》的整个策划过程,讲述了这本优秀科普作品的独到之处,并剖析了其畅销的原因,展示了图书出版后的营销与推广工作,以及与读者受众的互动活动。本书从一个科普工作者的角度,思考和总结了在策划此类科普图书的过程中所受到的启示。
This paper introduces the whole making process of the translation book with the title The Elements:A Visual Exploration of Every Known Atom in the Universe,which won the second session of the“Excellence Award of China Science Writers’Association”.This paper tells us what is new and original in this book, analyses the reason why this book is so popular,and shows not only the marketing and promotion work of it,but also the interactive activities with the readers. In the perspective of a science communicator,the Acquisition Editor who is in charge of this book, this paper considers and summarizes the revelation during the making process of this excellent popular science book.
