Container Seedling Breeding Techniques of Platycladus orientalis

侧柏容器育苗具有省圃地、省种子、育苗周期短、苗木质量好、缓苗快、造林成活率高等优点。扶风县近几年在日元贷款及退耕还林工程造林中广泛应用,随着市场需求的变化,我们不停地培育各种规格的侧柏容器苗,同时不断地总结经验,使侧柏容器育苗技术从营养袋选择、装土、种子催芽、小苗移植等方面有了进一步的改进和提高。

Container seedling breeding of PlatycIadus orientalis has many advantages like saving the nursery land, saving the seeds, short rotation, good quality, quick seedling adaptation and high sur- vival rate in the afforestation. Container seedling breeding has been widely applied in the Japanese- aided Afforestation Project and domestic afforestation project （Grain for Green） in Fufeng County. The techniques concerning Platycladus orientalis seedling breeding have been improved through years practice in terms of container selection, soil loading, treatment for germination, transplanting the seedlings.
