Transitivity is an effective tool for revealing the hidden meaning and ideology of the text.Transitivity analysis contributes to explain how the text is constructed to deliver the underlying meaning of the writer.This essay will analyze the extract from the brochure for University of Warwick from the perspective of transitivity,aiming at presenting how the writer(the university)conveys its attitude and satisfactorily achieves the goal of convincing.
