论中国陶业学堂诞生的历史必然性

The Inevitable Emergence of China Ceramic School

中国陶业学堂成立于1910年,是我国最早的陶瓷专门学校之一。本文从清末"新政"的大环境、留学生教育勃兴、挽救岌岌可危的手工制瓷业、冲破手工制瓷业固守旧法等四个方面论述了"苟欲兴工,必先兴学"的道理,从而回答了中国陶业学堂诞生的历史必然性。

Founded in 1910, China Ceramic School is one of the earliest ceramic vocational schools in China. This paper investigates the circumstances around its emergence, including the “New Policies” in late Qing Dynasty, the lfourishing of overseas study programs, the precarious situation of the handmade ceramic industry, and the need to burst the technical constraints of this traditional industry. It reveals the inevitability of school is a result of the effort to expand education for building up the country’s industry.
