摘要
人的本性向来有极多主义和极少主义两极。19世纪末以来,西方文论家在文学、艺术领域中描述它们;20世纪末西方音乐史编纂著作也开始使用这两个术语。文章把它们作为20世纪音乐结构史的范式。与19世纪音乐结构史的范式更换不同的是,极少主义融合了极多主义观念,形成"后极少主义"。音乐现代的极多主义由后现代极少主义(即"后极少主义")所补充,并延伸至21世纪。
Minimalism and Maximalism are the two extremes in human nature. Since the second half of 19th century,western scholars described them in literature and fine arts; western music historians of the 20th century started using them in their music history works. The article treats these two terms as paradigms in the study of music structures history of 20th century,exploring the concepts of modern maximalism,post- mordern minimalism etc..
