“草根精神”的表率——郑杭生先生的基层城镇化实践研究

恩师郑杭生先生致力于中国社会学理论自觉的哲学思考、实证研究和方法论倡导及推广,对推动中国社会学创新发展、对推动中国整个学术界创新发展,乃至对推动世界社会学的创新发展做出了难以估量的重大贡献;在践行自己创立的"顶天立地"学术研究道路的同时,为学术界找到了"理论自觉"的现实基础,从而使社会学的"理论自觉"由抽象的思辨具体化为可操作的研究路径。基于实地调研的思考,恩师对临安市新型城镇化实践予以充分的肯定与鼓励,并针对存在的问题给予建设性指导,成为该市新型城镇化可持续发展的重要推动力量,也成为恩师实践"草根精神"的范例。恩师不顾高龄,仍然坚持亲临实践第一线,仍然带领团队成员坚持全天候的实地调研,其严谨的学风和身先士卒的研究努力,既是恩师自己学术团队的宝贵财富,也为社会学领域的研究者,乃至为当代中国所有研究者树立起了典范。

Mr Zheng Hangsheng, my real mentor, devoted himself to the philosophical thinking of the- oretical consciousness in Chinese sociology, empirical research and the efforts of methodological advocacy and promotion, making inestimable and significant contributions to the innovation and development of Chi- nese sociology, the whole Chinese academics and sociology in the world. While practicing his own creation of “indomitable spirit” way of academic research, he found the realistic basis of “theoretical conscious- ness”for academic world, so that “theoretical consciousness” in sociology translated into concrete opera- tional research path from the abstract thinking. Based on the field survey thinking, mentor gave full ap- proval and the great encouragement to the new urbanization practice in Lin＇an and constructive guidance for the existing problems, which became an important driving force for the sustainable development of the new urbanization in Lin＇an city, also became a paradigm of my mentor in practicing “grassroots spirit”. Re- gardless of advanced-age, mentor still sticked to work on the front lines of practice and led the team mere- bers to adhere to all-weather field research. The rigorous style and research efforts charge at the head of him are not only a valuable asset of his own team, but also establish a model for researchers in the field of sociology, as well as all the contemporary Chinese researchers.
