Sea Level Trends of China Seas From 1993 to 2012

利用AVISO高度计数据计算了1993—2012年中国海海平面上升趋势,结果表明:(1)中国海平均海平面的上升速率为4.3mm/a,高于全球平均水平;渤、黄、东和南海的上升速率依次为3.1、2.9、3.0和4.6mm/a;渤黄东海平均为3.0mm/a;(2)首次同时计算了中国沿岸、中国海整体及中国海边界平均海平面的上升速率,分别为3.2、4.3、4.6mm/a;中国海边界的上升速率明显高于中国海沿岸及渤、黄和东海。初步认为:(1)渤、黄和东海及中国沿岸的平均海平面均与同期全球平均水平相当,而南海对整个中国海上升率贡献较大;(2)1993—2012年来中国海外围海域的上升可能是中国海上升的主导因素,建议在监测中国沿海海平面变化的同时,必须研究、监测相邻边界海域的海平面变化机制及变化趋势。

The AVISO altimeter products were used to analyze the sea level trend features of China seas and its relation to the adjacent oceans from 1993 to 2012.Results suggested that：1） the mean sea level trends of China seas is 4.3 mm/year,which is higher than the global average; and the mean sea level trends of the Bohai sea,the Yellow China sea,the East China sea and the South China sea are 3.1、2.9、3.0 and 4.6 mm/year,respectively; the mean sea level trend of the areas including the Bohai sea,the Yellow sea and the East China sea as a whole is 3.0 mm/year; 2） the mean sea level trend of China seas＇ coasts and the whole China seas are 3.2 and 4.3 mm/year respectively,while the mean sea level trend of China seas＇ boundary areas reached 4.6 mm/year,which is much greater than the whole China seas.The preliminary conclusions are,1） the mean sea level trend of the Bohai sea,the yellow China sea,the East China sea and the China seas＇ coasts are close to the global average during the past 20years,whereas the South China sea made a considerable contribution to the sea level rise for the whole China seas; 2） the high sea level trend rate of the China seas＇ boundary areas might be the major factor to elevate sea level of the inner areas of the China seas during the past 20 years.It seem to be also quite necessary to study the sea level trends and the mechanisms of the China seas＇ boundary areas when the sea level trends of the coasts are concerned.
