王寂二行部志中佛教史料举隅

On the Buddhism Historical Records in the Two Travelling Diaries by Wang Ji

王寂《辽东行部志》和《鸭江行部志》记述了大量寺庙、僧侣和佛事,对宝严、崇寿、灵岩三寺和辽僧海山、金僧渊唯识、金尼智相的描述尤详,特别值得注意的是叙及炽盛光佛信仰和禅宗渗透、流传辽东的史实,还保存了许多作者考订佛籍真伪和寺院始末盛衰以及即事诗文。其内容使不少当时辽东一带佛教存在和活动的踪迹得以流传后世,为佛教史研究提供了宝贵的学术资源。

Traveling Diaries in Eastern Liaoningand Traveling Diaries in the Yalu River Basin by Wang Ji teem with description of temples,monks and Buddhist activities,especially that of Baoyan Temple,Chongshou Temple,Lingyan Temple and the Liao monk Haishan,the Jin monk Yuanweishi and the Jin nun Zhixiang.And what is worthy of special attention is the account of the faith in Flaming Light Buddha and Zen＇s spreading in eastern Liaoning.In addition,Wang＇s examination and correction of Buddhist classics,his account of the ups and downs of temples,and his poems and articles about his contemporary events are also kept.The two diaries kept and handed down many trails of Buddhism existing and activity in eastern Liaoning,providing precious academic resources for researchers of Buddhism history.
