摘要
语言与文化密切相关.从本质上讲,外语教学就是以语言知识讲授为基础的文化教学.作为多元文化教学模式,外语文化回应教学突显语言与文化的互动,强调外语教学的文化立场,回应多元文化差异,旨在培养学习者的跨文化理解能力.在语言环境中审视文化,将语言教学提升至文化理解的层面,顺应了文化多元化的时代发展趋势,是当代外语教学研究的一大突破.
Language and culture are closely related.In essence,foreign language teaching is culture teaching based on language knowledge teaching.As a multicultural teaching mode,culturally respon-sive teaching of foreign language highlights language-culture interaction,attaches proper importance to the cultural stance in foreign language teaching,embraces a diverse cultural background,and culti-vates learners’faculty of cross-cultural understanding.It is a break-through in the study of foreign language teaching to survey culture in its language context and to combine language teaching with cul-ture understanding,which conforms to the multicultural trend of our times.
