The recent Global Tourism Economy Forum （GTEF） held in Macao focused heavily on the planned 21stCentury Maritime Silk Road （MSR） and the possibilities it opened up for tourism. On the theme＂Maritime Silk Road - From Macao We Begin＂, the discussions covered the transformation of the MSR region, and the possible opportunities it opened up for strategic cooperation and business in tourism among nations, provinces and cities along the MSR route.
