学习动机是指引学生进行学习活动的因素，是直接推动学生进行学习活动以达到某种学习目的的心理动因。学习动机的激发是指在一定教学情景下，利用一定的诱因，使已形成的学习需要由潜在状态变为活动状态，形成学习的积极性。运用教育心理学中关于课堂的动机理论，从教学的角度出发探讨了在化学教学中激发学生学习动机的现实意义和可行策略。
