Kingsoft office, once struggled to survive under shadow of Microsoft office, finally finds the breakthrough and aims to carve up the global market with Microsoft and Google. Unlike other pioneers who always found a niche in Southeast Asian or Russian market first, however, Kingsoft built its basement in American, home of the tycoon Microsoft. Is this decision an irrational revenge of the decade of suppression? In the matter of fact, Kingsoft's CEO Ge Ke has visited American Silicon Valley 5 times in 2013, to get fully prepared. Moreover, Kingsoft's WPS has already gained relative market share through cooperating with PC and mobile phone manufacturers and local operators.As to the North American team, Ge expected them to be more integrated and sophisticated than merely localized. He asked them to be all-round experts, not only knowing American market but also able to influence Chinese headquarters. "You are not executers but representatives of US market and consumer culture. It is your job to tell us what to produce."
