Jin Gui Yao Lue is the first book to hold the view that damp was an independent disease with enriched therapies and medicines throughout history. It not only explained the pathogenesis and location of dampness in detail,but also proposed specific treatment rules such as diaphoresis method diuresis methodetc. Prescriptions were based on pathogenic colddamp invading head,external cold-damp,external heumatism,Xuantong dampness and strengthening exterior and reducing sweat. It＇s a paradigm and provides an important theoretical guidance for physicians treating diseases caused by dampness.
