Reflections on the Design of Main Stadium of Asian Games 2014 Incheon Korea

2014年仁川亚运会是继1986年首尔亚运会、2002年釜山亚运会之后在韩国举办的第三次亚运会。以"和平的气息,亚洲的未来"为主题的2014年仁川亚运会,致力于集中展现亚洲各国灿烂而多样的历史、文化、传统、宗教等,同时加深亚洲人民的友谊,营造亚洲的和谐氛围,促进人类和平、亚洲团结,共创亚洲的绚丽未来。仁川亚运会主体育场项目,在设计上与毗邻的青萝经济自由贸易区、柯亭路再生产业、京西地区等开发产业园区,以及连喜公园、京名运动空间等相衬托;在空间上,相互连接;在设计理念上,新再生材料以及绿色环保理念等随处可见,最终建成环境友好型和能源节约型的绿色体育场。

The 2014 Incheon Asian Games is the third Asian Games held in South Korea after the 1986 Seoul and the 2002 Pusan Asian Games. The Incheon Asian Games, themed ＂Diversity Shines Here＂, aims to present the history, culture, tradition and religion, develop friendship, and enhance the harmony environment of every Asian countries, and spread peace and unity among Asian people, and create a bright future for the Asia. In design aspect, the main stadium of Incheon Asian Games is in harmony with the development industrial zone such as Chengna free trade area, Gajeong road regenerating industry and Gyeongseo area, Yeonhui Park and Kyungmyung sports space. In space aspect, they are connected to each other. In design concept aspect, the new and recycled materials and green concept can be seen everywhere, setting up an environmental-friendly and energy-saving stadium.
