摘要
在我国近代教育变迁进程中,留学生对中西文化交流产生了巨大的推动作用,其中又以赴美留学生起到的作用最为巨大。但假如于近代中西文化交流背景下对留学生身份进行客观检视,留美学生不免处在二重转换的拉锯之中:留美生对于美国而言是旅居者;同时,由于长期的离乡背井使得他们对于故国又成为了陌生人。显然,对于留美学生身份双重二歧转换,需要从更为广阔的层面进行分析,剖析其中的过程与内在原因,从而为理解近代教育中西文化交流历史进程的特殊性路径提供有益的启示。
The overseas education in modern time of China has posed a great influence on Sino- Western cultural exchange history due to American-educated Chinese students. However the identities of American-educated Chinese students were also in a dual dimensional dilemma. Not only were travelers to America but also were strangers to their home country. Therefore, to analyze the process in broader perspectives and to understand the specific reasons of the history process of the modern educational path are necessarv. This nrobablv provides a useful inspiration.
