Fictions by Contemporary Female Writers as Bildungsroman Against a Background of Cultural Revolution

"文革"视阈下的成长叙事是经由诸多当代女作家不断开掘的文学主题。在王安忆、铁凝、严歌苓、虹影等女作家的创作中,成长叙事呈现出不同层面的形态,无论是女作家对成长的追寻与反思、对苦难成长的追溯,还是对成长中人性扭曲的揭示,都融入了她们"创伤性"的个人成长记忆,共同构成了成长叙事在精神层面的深刻内涵。正是由于当代女作家们在这三个方面的努力,"文革"背景下的成长叙事才为当代文学增添了璀璨的色调。

T he Bildungsroman against a background of Cultural Revolution has been a literary genre explored by quite a number of contemporary female w riters ,such as Wang Anyi ,Tie Ning ,Yan Geling , and Hong Ying .All their novels ,w hatever a typical reflection of maturation ,or retrospection of the hard‐ship of growing up ,or the exposition of the twisted human nature experienced when growing up ,are all marked by these female writers＆#39;traumatic memory of their personal life .Thanks to their efforts in these three aspects ,the Bildungsroman against a background of Cultural Revolution has demonstrated a real val‐ue and added luster to contemporary literature .
