The modern detection means applied on superhard material and related products are introduced,including determination of particle size distribution, particle morphology analysis, measurement of toughness index and thermal toughness index,crystal structure research,thermal performance,impurity, binder analysis, microstructure research and precise geometric structure detection,which involved in various types of testing equipment are introduced,such as laser particle size analyzer,Coulter particle size analyzer,image analysis systems,scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,simultaneous thermal analyzer,inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry, gas chromatography mass spectrometry, ion chromatograph. It is important for researchers and production managers to fully understand the modern detection means in the applications of product R &D and quality management.Then they will improve the cognitive level of superabrasive and the ability of R & D and manufacturing,thus enhancing production efficiency.
