《甘州回鹘史》是回鹘历史研究的新硕果,该书立意高远,着眼于回鹘历史研究的薄弱环节,重视回鹘语言文字研究与回鹘社会历史研究之间的关系;突破传统史学观念的藩篱,以甘州回鹘作为主体对象;运用大量史料及考古资料,在甘州回鹘世系、摩尼教成为甘州回鹘国教的原因等许多问题上提出了新的观点,可资学界参考;除此之外,该书体现了作者严谨的学风,值得学界同仁师法。

Ganzhou Huihu Shi （A history of Ganzhou Uighur Kingdom） by Prof. Zhu Yuemei and Prof. Yang Fuxue was published recently, which serves as a new achievement of Uighur Studies. The insight of the book is very profound, which focused on the weakness of research on Uighur history and paid attention to the relationship between language and history of Uighur studies; Ganzhou Uighur Kingdom which was subordinate in almost all history book is regarded as the main role of history in this book, this practice broke the astrict of traditional view con- cerning the writing principle of history book ; authors of this book presented some new point on the ism problem that the King genealogy of Ganzhou Uighur Kingdom and the reason that Manichae- as the The national religion of Ganzhou Uighur Kingdom by using lots of historical text data and archaeological materials, the new point which was provided by this book should be refer- enced by other scholars researching the history of Uighur; in addition, there is an another ad- vantage that the authors of this book is so precise that we could learn from them.
