摘要
概念隐喻是认知语言学的一个重要范畴,它不仅关系到语言的使用,更影响到人们的思维和行为。概念隐喻的系统性研究对于语言系统性的理解具有重要意义。此外,概念隐喻还具有连贯性这一重要特征。本文首先探讨概念隐喻的系统性和连贯性,然后从3个方面论述概念隐喻对英语教学的影响。
The conceptual metaphor is an important category of cognitive linguistics, exerting an influence not only on the use of lan- guage but also on the pattern of our thinking and behavior. The study of systematicity of conceptual metaphor is of great signifi- cance to the understanding of the systematicity of language itself. Besides, coherence is another important quality of conceptual meaning. This paper first explores the systematicity and coherence of conceptual metaphor, then discusses the significance of such characteristics in English teaching from three perspectives.
