中印在印度洋问题上存在战略空间重叠,由此可能带来更多的合作机遇,同样也意味着更为激烈的战略竞争。如果不能合理管控分歧和竞争,则有可能使中印在印度洋上的战略竞争转化为地区冲突,影响两国在印度洋的安全合作与战略利益共享。防患于未然,有必要研究两国在印度洋的战略利益诉求、相互需求以及潜在冲突的可能性,避免战略竞争演变为地区冲突。

China and India have strategic space overlapping in Indian Ocean region, which may result in opportunities for both collaboration and strategic competition. The divergence and competition between them, in case of not being incredibly managed,would definitely spoil the bilateral security cooperation and shared strategic interests. So they need to identify respective interests,expand mutual needs, and work hard to avoid any potential conflicts in the Indian Ocean.
