Analysis on the Practice and the Case of the Subject Service of the University Library in America

学科服务是高校图书馆的重要工作之一。美国高校图书馆深化了传统学科服务实践,将院系联络深入学术机构内部,将信息素养教育融入教学与学习,为师生提供建立在科学评估机制上的深度参考咨询服务。同时,美国高校图书馆也发展学科服务创新实践,倡导建立基于开放存取的新学术交流体系,构建自己的机构知识库,为师生科研提供全过程的学科服务。

The subject service is one of important services in the university library. The university library has deepened the practice of the traditional subject service in America as follows： going deeply into the interior of academic institutes to get in touch with colleges and departments; integrating the information literacy education with teaching and learning; providing the deep reference service based on the scientific evaluation system for teachers and students. Meanwhile, it also develops the innovation practice of the subject service, and advocates to establish the new academic exchange system based on the open access, to construct its own institutional repository in order to provide the subject service of the whole process for teachers and students in the scientific research.
