将杨家将故事中的杨门女将作为关注的核心人物,通过纵向以北宋杨业等人故事为起点,探讨处于元杂剧、明清小说、清代与近现代的戏曲、当代影视剧的改编中的杨门女将的产生与演变,横向将《杨家将演义》中颇负盛名的佘太君、穆桂英、柴郡主等一批绚丽夺目、尽人皆知的巾帼英雄群像为个案研究,并与古代文学史上的女性形象作对比,突出了中国女性形象之杨门女将深明大义、家国思想浓厚;作战沙场、英勇威猛;追求婚姻自由、男女平等的形象特点。
