Dear Reader In this issue of World Architecture we focus on the Pritzker Laureate of 2014, Shigeru Ban. Quite different from his compatriot laureates of recent years, Ban is a 3apanese architect strongly influenced by American architectural education. His years as a student both in the Southwest and in the Northeast America forecasted many points in his later career path.
