This paper describes the overall system integration scheme of applying hard disk for portable DVD, and introduces the disk type and main chips in details. It is on the basis that simply introduces the HDD interface and the relevant parts of the main decoding driver, and then more introduces the HDD power system, the selection of main decoding chip DDR, SATA hard disk interface, and how to realize the main decoding chip PCI interface converting USB interface. At last it has a brief description of debugging hard disk in the Linux system. It reflects fully the outstanding feature of this system in integrating HDD and PDVD.
