On the English Interpreters Training of Local Higher Education Institutions in the Transitional Period

地方本科院校面临转型发展期,所开设的英语口译课程当结合其生源的特点,定位为培养初、中级口译人才的口译入门课,并从加强语言基础、丰富百科知识、侧重技能训练三个方面着手,以培养应用型、技能型的口译人才。

Facing the transitional period, the local higher education institutions should develop their English inter-preting courses considering the features of their students. Oriented as an introductory interpreting course to develop preliminary and intermediate interpreters, the teachers should highlight the three aspects of reinforcing language base, enriching encyclopedic knowledge, emphasizing interpreting competence and skills, so as to develop application-ori-ented, skill-oriented interpreters.
