自然环境和社会文化,是珠江三角洲疍民和疍民文化的坚强后盾,又是其生命终结的罪魁祸首。珠江三角洲疍民和疍民文化的生死兴衰,虽然取决于自身内部的组织结构和功能特点,但也受制于外部环境条件的要素构成和生态环境与人文的互动。珠江三角洲生态环境的不断改变、自然资源的不断减少和生存空间的日益压缩,直接影响珠江三角洲疍民的生存和发展,也逐渐改变了他们的风俗习惯和文化性格。

The natural environment and social culture is both the strong backing of Dan people and their culture in Pearl River Delta Region and the chief culprit of the termination of their cultural life. The changing ecological environment,decrease of natural resources and compression of living space directly influenced the survival and development of Dan people and gradually changed their custom and cultural character.
