The Analysis of ‘Chinese Accent' in Spoken English for Students Studying Abroad

口语作为日常沟通与交流的重要手段在英语学习中的地位不容忽视,然而受到母语的影响,学习者在发音上存在差异。与欧洲国家的语系不同,汉语与英语的音位在很多方面存在相似性却不完全趋同,这便导致了"中国口音"的出现。该文旨在结合中国留学生的自身条件,分析"中国口音"产生的原因以提高学生的英语口语能力。

As an essential tool in daily communication, speaking takes the privilege in English language acquisition. However, under the impact of the first language, the disparity exists in terms of articulation. Given the distinctions of European languages and Chinese, the similarities rather than identity between Chinese and English lead to the emerge of ‘Chinese accent’. This essay aims to analyze the causes of such phenomenon based on the learning conditions of Chinese students abroad so as to improve students’ English speaking competence.
