A Number of Big Issues in the Socialist Kernel Values

社会主义核心价值观是中国特色社会主义的自我理解与自我建构,引领和构建着当代中国社会价值秩序,是中国文化软实力的核心。社会主义核心价值观的现有表述包含着国家、社会和个人三个层面价值取向的统一,其社会主义性质就体现在这些价值的具体内涵,以及它们所蕴涵的价值基础、价值立场之中。培育和践行社会主义核心价值观,最重要的是将核心价值观融入国家治理体系和治理能力的建设,而正确处理社会主义核心价值观与中国传统文化的关系,则同样至关重要。

The Socialist kernel values are the self-understanding and self-constructing principle for the Socialism with Chinese characteristics. They orient and make the social value order of contemporary China and have come to the fore in the soft power of Chinese culture. Their current expressions include the unity of the value orientations of the Country, the Society and the individuals;and the Socialist nature is embodied in the practical content of these values as well as their value bases and value stances. What is key to foster and practice them is to fuse them into the constructing of the national administration system and the capacity;and a proper handling of their relation with the traditional Chinese culture has an equal importance.
