山西襄汾县陶寺遗址Ⅲ区大型夯土基址发掘简报

The Excavation of the Large-sized Rammed-earth Foundation in Zone Ⅲ of Taosi Site in Xiangfen County,Shanxi

2011年秋至2012年秋,中国社会科学院考古研究所山西队等对陶寺城址西南疑似手工业作坊区一处大型夯土建筑基址进行了发掘。基址平面为圆角"回"字形,由主体建筑基础、西墙基础、东墙基础、南墙基础及门、庭院等组成。该基址形制规整、结构特殊,可能与陶寺都城的手工业生产管理有一定关系。

In the autumn 2011 to the autumn 2012, Shanxi Archaeological Team, Institute of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and other institutions excavated a large-sized rammedearth foundation within the area suggested to be the handicraft zone in the southwest of the Taosi city site. This architectural foundation was in a rectangular 回-shaped plan with curved comers and consisted of the foundations of the main body, the west wall, east wall, south wall, the gate and the courtyard, covering an area of more than 1200 sq m. This architectural foundation had huge scale, regular layout and special structure and might be related to the production management of the handicraft in the Taosi ancient city.
