论吴语、湘语中的“浊音走廊”说和元音高化现象

On the Corridor of Voiced Sounds and the Vowel Rising Shift in Wu and Xiang Dialect

就吴语和湘语研究中的"浊音走廊"和相似的元音高化链移现象提出不同观点。"浊音走廊"的解释具有局限性:"浊音走廊"的分布是十分有限的;吴语和湘语的浊音是有差异的;其存在仅仅是共享存古的反映,可能是由于早期接触造成的。元音高化是由于其他因素的影响:模韵的裂化是一种条件音变;侯韵前高化是受南迁移民的影响;元音高化链移现象是人类语言中的一种普遍音变现象。故"浊音走廊"和元音高化现象并不是吴湘曾经构成过原始共同语言的直接证据。

It is assumed that there are some different views in the study on the corridor of voiced sounds and the vowel rising shift in Wu and Xiang dialects. Because the corridor of voiced sounds has some limitations theoretically,its distribution is also sporadic. And there are some differences in voiced sounds of two dialects. So the existence of the corridor of voiced sounds is just an evidence of shared preservation which was caused by language contact in ancient time. On the other hand,the vowel rising shift may be caused by other factors. For example,the diphthongization of rhyme is conditioned; the sound change of rhyme is influenced by the north immigration. And the vowel rising shift is nothing but a prevalent sound change in human languages. To iterate,the corridor of voiced sounds and the vowel rising shift are not immediate evidence for the hypothesis that there was a proto- language between Wu and Xiang.
