VMware在高校图书馆的应用——以大连医科大学图书馆为例

Application of VMware in University Library : A Case Study of the Library of Dalian Medical University

随着图书馆馆藏资源形式以及服务功能的逐步转变,图书馆网络管理出现了若干问题。VMware虚拟化系统通过对服务器新旧硬件的重新组合分配,提高了光纤存储利用率,并实现了文件在虚拟机中的动态迁移。该软件针对不同存储文件的特点,提供相应的管理模式,在很大程度上提高了数据读取效率以及数据的安全性。这种独立性管理方式,在系统遭受攻击时可保证其他数据的安全。但该软件也存在一定兼容性问题,在日常使用中应注意系统的稳定性等问题。

With the gradual transformation of library resources and service function form, the network management of library appeared some problems. VMware virtualization system distributes and recombinates the old or new hardware on the server to improve the optical storage utilization and realize the file dynamic migration in the virtual machine. According tO the characteristics of different storage file, the software provide the corresponding management model, and improves a great extent efficiency of data reading and data security. This independence management can ensure the safety of other data when the system is attacked. But the software also certains some compatible problems, in daily use we should pay attention to the stability of the system and other issues.
