Residents meter can be said the most commonly used household tools, and for a family, it is essential whether the residents meter is working properly or not, because it is directly related to the domestic electricity security and economy. With the development and progress of electronic technology, the original inductive residents meter has been developed to the electronic type. This paper describes the matters need attention in the selection, installation and usage of the residents meter, and mainly analyzes the common faults, in order to improve residential electricity reliability.
